A special welcome to our FIRST-TIME VISITORS. Please accept a welcome package and meet the pastors following worship service in the church dining room located across the hall from the rear sanctuary doors. Lunch with Norman and Teresa Today! Norman and Teresa McCurry are on their trip home from Malaysia and will be leaving this Monday for their return trip. We are blessed to have them in service with us today, and we look forward to fellowshipping with them as we pool our lunches following worship service. There will be no sunday school tonight No Third Tuesday Women’s or Men’s Ministries Meetings This Week The regularly scheduled meetings for Women’s and Men’s Ministries will not be held this month. The Joint Churches Meetings earlier this month were in lieu of the August meetings. Meetings will resume the third Tuesday of September as regularly scheduled. Food Pantry Outreach This Wednesday Food from the Outreach Pantry is distributed by appointment on the 3rd Wednesday monthly. See Outreach Pastor Betty Franks for appointments or if you have any questions about CWOC’s Food Pantry or Clothing Closet.
Welcome New Members We are happy to welcome into our fellowship the following new members who united with the church last Sunday: Amanda Frye, Parker Frye, and Preslee Frye. In addition, we also welcome the entire family back to South Carolina after an extended stay in Georgia. Of course, this includes Bradley, already a CWOC member for many years.
Youth “Book Sale” Books are for sale in the Activity Center to benefit the Youth Ministry. You may purchase hardback books for one dollar and paperbacks for fifty cents. See Youth Pastor Victoria Holt if you have questions.

Thank You! Thanks to everyone who helped make last week’s Crosswalk Power Week 2008 the success that it was. Special thanks to our Children’s Ministry Directors, Aaron & Jessica Granade, for their hard work connected with Power Week and for their steadfast dedication to the Lord and to the children of CWOC.
Please Save Your Plastic Containers, Paper & Plastic Bags, and Cardboard Rollers from Paper Towels The Women’s Ministries has requested that we please save our large empty plastic containers (butter, Cool Whip, lunchmeat, etc.) for use in our kitchens. They may be left in the church kitchen. The Outreach Ministry has requested that we save our paper and plastic bags for use at Christ Central Ministries for food and clothing distribution. Please give bags to Betty Franks or leave them inside the food pantry closet. Gaynell Frost needs cardboard rollers from paper towels for a pre-school class project. Please leave these in the pre-school classroom. Thank you!!!!
Birthday Celebration for Pastor Simmons Mark your calendars now and plan to be present on Sunday, September 7, for Pastor Simmons’ 82nd Birthday Celebration. Please bring your lunch (including meat, veggies, salad, and dessert) to celebrate with Pastor Simmons following the worship service. Paper products and tea will be provided by the church.
CWOC’s Anniversary Celebration We will celebrate our 65th year as a church at a special celebration service on Friday, September 19, from 7-9 PM. Please mark your calendars now and plan to be a part of this time of reflection and recognition honoring Crossroads World Outreach Center’s pastors and those who served with them. The ceremony in the sanctuary will be followed by refreshments served in the activity center.
