GOLDEN NUGGETS TO LIVE BY
By Pastor Tim Hodge

I love “sentence-sermons” (nuggets of truth that can impact our lives). When the Holy Spirit speaks an invigorating, encouraging, or thought-provoking truth to me, I try to document it. Here are some “downloads” I’ve received over the past weeks (and I gave credit when those downloads were received through others). I hope they bless you as they did me. — TH
Proverbs 12:24, NLT “Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.” #BLESSEDlife #WORKit
Proverbs 18:10, NIV “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” #Jesus #BLESSEDlife
God’s grace is sufficient for every situation; it is MORE than enough.
I may be hell-fought, but I’m heaven-backed!
Respect. Hard to earn. Respect. Easy to lose. Respect. Harder to get back.
“God is not counting pennies, He is counting your degree of faithfulness.” – Norman McCurry
“Stagnation is death no matter how you coin it.” – Carl Vecchio on LEADERSHIP
What you have to offer is not what is potent to God. Rather, it’s God’s potency added to what you can offer.
Leadership tip of the day: REST THY BRAIN.
The resurrection of Jesus was probably the rawest form of power since creation itself. That same power resides in His church.
Don’t let people vex your spirit. Moses spent 40 years with a generation of idiots and at the last minute let them get to him.
Many people live in a proverbial box. Many people dare think outside that box. Few people dare GET OUTSIDE that box.
May the JOY of the LORD be so deep-rooted in your heart that if the devil tries to steal it, it would be like trying to uproot an oak tree.
People can do life with you and encourage you, but no one can believe FOR you. Faith is an intimate relationship between you and God.
Lord God, may the hearts of Your people be tender and our ears sensitive.
LEADERS: be careful to measure your efforts by effectiveness and influence and not busy-ness. It’s easy to be busy, yet non-productive.
May God surprise you in many pleasant ways today.
“Unless a person comes to Christ seeking to be a different person, he is not coming to Christ at all.” AW Tozer
We can never fill a void in people’s lives by remaining outside the vacuum of their circumstances. Don’t be afraid to get entrenched and be used by God.
Sometimes the greatest blessings from God isn’t SOME THING we get, but some things we GET TO DO.
CHRISTIANS: That same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in us. Let’s LIVE that out LOUD.
God does NOT want to be a major part of your world. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR WHOLE WORLD!!!!
