The Blood Of Jesus Christ!

God doesn’t do anything halfway. He is the flawless Finisher! He begins everything with a finished product in mind. Then He may even exercise His creative, sovereign right to improve on the product along the way of the formation process. Our lives are such products. The Bible records these words: “…being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ… (Philippians 1:6, NKJV).
God is the accomplished Artisan of creative glory. He created us. He designed our DNA (the human genome that scientists still can’t crack all the codes that make us ‘US’ – and if they could it would have to be written out in an estimated sixty-four volumes of books each three inches thick). The prophetic psalmist, king David, penned these words in Psalms 139:16, “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them” (NKJV). Therefore, if God puts such finesse into our design before our mom and dad’s DNA even mixed, shouldn’t it be very clear that He has dynamic plans for us? God doesn’t create junk. He has plans for everything He starts. He finishes what He starts. Now let’s take this a little deeper.
We must understand that God’s plans and wisdom always covers EVERY facet and dimension of our lives. First, and foremost, God’s plan is that all men (not gender exclusive ladies) be saved. Note the words of the Apostle Paul writing to his spiritual son, Timothy, in 1 Timothy 2:3–4, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, (v4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (NIV). Hold on. Read those two verses again (very slowly). I highlighted the word ‘saved’ for a reason. Too often we allocate being ‘saved’ to getting us out of hell and into heaven. Oh beloved friends, if it meant that alone then in light of eternity we would be gloriously raptured at that mere thought. However, it goes much deeper than that and is so much more exhilarating. This New Testament passage was originally written in the Greek language. The Greek word used by Paul is the word ‘sozo’ and it means: to save, to deliver, to protect. These things are not allocated to after we die, but they are very present truths for this life; in the HERE and NOW. God wants every dimension of our lives SAVED, DELIVERED, and PROTECTED! That is the fullness of the gospel of Christ.
The first dimension of this SALVATION is victory over sin and the devil. There is only one way this dimension can be realized. It comes through the BLOOD OF JESUS! Hebrews 9:22 ends with these words: “…without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (NIV).
That is referring to the precious blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God (1 Peter 1:19). Let’s look at a few dimensions of that price that was paid for us and some of the glorious things it secured.
1. That precious blood of Christ will CRUSH SIN!
A. Isaiah 1:18
2. That precious blood of Christ will KEEP COVENANT!
3. That precious blood of Christ is the CONDEMNATION CRUSHER!
A. Romans 8:1
B. 1 John 1:9
4. That precious blood of Christ KEEPS US COVERED!
A. Exodus chapter 12
B. Revelation 12:11
