TRUST: The Foundation of Relationship

Trust – a definition found at www.dictionary.com: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
Anyone around me for any length of time will hear me say: “Everything revolves around relationship.” Watch me and you will see me live that out loud. It’s more than a quippy quote. It is a fact and principle commodity of my soul.
Our relationship with God revolves around TRUST. A marriage revolves around a husband and wife’s TRUST. A productive relationship at our workplaces revolves around TRUST. Even church (faith-family) relationships revolve around TRUST.
Trust doesn’t always come easy. Yet, it must be afforded to those who EARN it through lifestyles of integrity, strength, and ability (taken from the definition above). Many times, when we’ve been hurt, wounded, or mistreated by people, we find it hard to trust. We should not miss the gifts of great people who are the present game changers in our lives today because we’ve had some duds in our past.
Know those you can TRUST. Keep them close in your heart. Give them a place of honor in your life. They are treasures in earthen vessels.
