ON THE RIGHT PATH
By Pastor Tim Hodge

This past Thursday I attended a training in Lake City, SC. This is a year-long commitment promoted by our denomination and our conference leadership. The training is through a program named HEALTHY, GROWING, MATURING CHURCHES (HGMC). This training will be a bi-monthly, all-day, on-site training. In the off months, there will be a two-hour online meeting.
The first training spent almost the whole day emphasizing churches needing two major thrusts to be on the right path: (1) CULTURE and (2) VALUES. I was taking notes (yes, scribing five pages plus several pages of handouts and fill-in-the-blanks sheets). While writing hard on the outside, I was grinning hard on the inside. I was thinking back over the past five years at CWOC how we have engrained these very elements into the DNA of the ministry.
I sat there wanting to scream, “HALLELUJAH!!!!” We are doing it right. We are ON THE RIGHT PATH. In fact, the Holy Spirit has been leading us years in advance to be a healthy, growing, and multiplying church. Yes, we have been investing years in our eight CORE VALUES and addressing, changing, and enhancing the CULTURE of CWOC (remember how we spent months addressing the CULTURE factor?). I wonder if anyone thought I had lost my mind during the months we addressed the CULTURE of CWOC?
We are ON-POINT! Yes, yes, yes. CWOC Faith-Family, we are ON THE RIGHT PATH. Thank You, Jesus.
