TRUNK-OR-TREAT 2019: Blessed Are The Flexible.

Everyone who helped make TRUNK-OR-TREAT (T.O.T.) 2019 an amazing success: THANK YOU!!! Amanda Frye, CWOC Children’s Ministries Director, did an outstanding job coordinating the events (Main Campus and Edgewood). Everyone who gave candy, money, time, effort, and talents made this event a phenomenal time.
For Wednesday night’s event Pastor Kim, Amanda, and myself made the decision to live out one of our faith-family quotes: “Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.” Despite the weather, we opted to proceed with the planned event date and time; only to do it in the Activity Center. Not only was this move a dynamic endeavor, but we also learned something in the midst of challenge.
Usually during our T.O.T. we see people come in for a short spell and leave. Doing the event INDOORS led people to stay a lot longer. That by itself prompted people to take the opportunity to mingle more and foster relationships (and that is where REAL MINISTRY can flourish). Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing more long-term results springboard from this. I am persuaded people will sense there is something wonderfully different about CWOC by spending time in the atmosphere created by our team,
Praise the Lord for the rain. Praise the Lord for flexibility.
